I've had Lighttools Soft Egg Crates for our soft boxes since 2007. They have always served as reliable light shaping tools in our kit, especially when working in spaces and environments where precisely controlling light and falloff was key.

I've had 40° grids for our Chimera extra small softboxes for the past few years, but as of late I have added 30° and 50° grids on our 48'' and 80'' octabanks. The light shaping ability that these gridded octabanks provide is quickly making them our go-to tool for creating beautiful light. I also have a 40° grid for an extra-extra small Chimera soft box that I use on occasion. The tiny size of the box paired with the light reducing ability of the grid really allows for me to channel and pinpoint light when the photo calls for it.

Using Soft Egg Crates enables me to control and shape light in ways that allow for my vision and creativity to take the forefront.

I use Lighttools products on almost every shoot, and now with the inclusion of the large and small gridded octabanks, it's tough to see working without them. I plan on always keeping a few grids in my kit and making sure I use them however and whenever possible.
